Invited speakers at the event include Nicola Macchioni (IVALSA CNR, Florence, Italy), Dr. Hubert Morin (Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Canada), and Dr. Ignacio García González (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, Spain). The conference was organized by the Association for Tree-Ring Research (ATR) and the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) Centre d’Orléans Unité Amélioration, Génétique et Physiologie Forestières.

TRACE is an annual event organized by the ATR. Through this event, the ATR aims to strengthen the network and scientific exchange of data between scientists and students involved in tree ring research. Co-organizer INRA Orléans is currently involved in several tree ring research projects, which study how forest trees adapt to climate variation in natural and artificial populations.
