Beta Analytic, Inc. is one of the sponsors of the 16th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists to be held in The Hague, The Netherlands, from September 1-5, 2010. This year’s meeting will take place in the Royal Conservatoire. Mr. Alexander Shroff will attend the event as Beta Analytic’s representative.
Organizers expect more than 1,000 attendees this year. The Opening Reception will take place at The Hague City Hall on September 1. Participants have at least 15 parallel sessions to choose from each day beginning September 2 until September 4. Each session consists of up to 10 paper presentations. The poster session will take place September 3.
Social events scheduled for the 16th Annual Meeting include a business meeting, a business dinner at the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden, and a party dubbed as the first European ArcheoRock—a one-night rock festival featuring musician-archaeologists. The event ends with excursions to The Hague and Amsterdam.
“I am excited to introduce Beta Analytic to EAA members. The researchers and cultural heritage managers will surely appreciate Beta Analytic’s fast radiocarbon dating services,” Mr. Shroff says.
Leiden University’s Faculty of Archaeology, the Department of Archaeology of the Municipality of The Hague, and the Cultural Heritage Agency (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science) are the organizers of the 16th Annual EAA Meeting.
