Radiocarbon Dating Lab Beta Analytic Supports AMOS 2012 Annual Conference

Beta Analytic, an ISO/IEC 17025:2005-accredited laboratory, has joined the Australian Meteorological & Oceanographic Society’s 18th Annual Conference as an advertiser. The conference was held at the University of New South Wales in Sydney from January 31 to February 3, 2012, with the theme “Connections in the Climate System.”

The conference featured more than 180 oral presentations and 150 poster presentations across three general and 15 special sessions. Its focus was on the (1) connections between physical components of the system (atmosphere-ocean-land-cryosphere), (2) connections between time scales, (3) spatial scales, and (4) connections between the biophysical and socio-economic systems (e.g. impacts of extreme events and climate change).

Each day of the conference started with plenary talks on various topics including ocean observations, palaeoclimate, climate change detection and attribution, remote sensing of the global hydrological cycle, atmospheric dynamics, and ocean circulation.
