Chikyu Kagaku Kenkyusho Corp. will be exhibiting at the Japan Geoscience Union Meeting (JpGU 2012) slated for May 20 to May 25, 2012, in Chiba City. Mr. Sumihisa Matsuyama of Chikyu Kagaku Kenkyusho and Beta Analytic Director Thierry Tamers will be participating at the event. Chikyu Kagaku Kenkyusho is Beta Analytic’s representative affiliate based in Nagoya, Japan.
Chikyu Kagaku Kenkyusho’s pamphlet desk (Booth 8 ) is located at the second floor of the JpGU exhibit hall. The JpGU Meeting 2012, concurrent with the JpGU International Symposium 2012, will be held at the Makuhari Messe International Conference Hall.
There are two Chikyu Kagaku Kenkyusho staff members who will be presenting at the event. Chikyu Kagaku Kenkyusho President Mr. Kazumi Asai and his son Dr. Kazuyoshi Asai will be presenting on May 24 (17:15-18:30) at the Convention Hall.

The JpGU 2012 scientific sessions are divided into 7 categories with each session consisting of several oral and poster presentations – Space and Planetary Sciences; Atmospheric, Ocean, and Environmental Sciences; Human Geosciences; Solid Earth Sciences; Biogeosciences; General (Education and Outreach) Session; and Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Session. This year’s meeting also includes special lectures from respected geoscientists, namely:
– Maruyama, Shigenori (Earth and Planetary Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology)
– Singh, R.B. (University of Delhi)
– Tsuihiji, Takanobu (Univeristy of Tokyo)
– Noguchi, Takaaki (Ibaraki University)
– Nakamura, Hisashi (RCAST, University of Tokyo)
The Japan Geoscience Union was first established in 2005 to represent earth and planetary science-related societies in response to changes of the Science Council of Japan.
